78. Doubt

78. Doubt (2008) - 05/03/09 - Blu-Ray:
I can finally see why this wasn't nominated for Best Picture. The acting is phenomenal but the story was rather boring. I'd rather go see the play. 2.5/5

77. X-Men Origins: Wolverine

77. X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) - 05/02/09 - Theater:
I've had a week to soak this one in. It's tough seeing as though Wolverine is one of my favorite comic characters of all time. Was it good? Yes and no. It's better than Brett Ratner's magnum opus "X3: X-men United". That has to be something right? They try too hard to cram too many mutants down your throat. Will I.AM should never be allowed to act ever again PERIOD. Gambit was good but not in it enough. Wolverine was too soft at the beginning. The list goes on and on but hey...it's a comic book movie and as long as they keep making them I'll keep watching them. Fun summer popcorn flick. 3/5

76. Whatever It Takes

76. Whatever It Takes (2000) - 05/02/09 - Showtime:

This was a lazy Saturday afternoon flick. It's mindless and if you like high school comedies it's serviceable. 2.5/5

75. Raiders of the Lost Ark

75. Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) - 05/01/09 - Theater:

Thanks to the wonderful people at the Fairfax Beverly Theaters, I was able to finally see one of my all time favorite movies on the big screen. I could go on and on about how magically amazing this film is but that would just make me sound like a bigger nerd and I have 5 more posts to get to. If you've never seen this, shame on you. If you live in the L.A. area and have never seen it on the big screen keep an eye out. It gets at least one screening a year and is definitely worth the experience. 789179837297/5

74. Choke

74. Choke (2008) - 04/30/09 - DVD:

I am a big fan of the book. It's actually one of the few novels I've ever read more than once. That says a lot, but thanks to this sad excuse for celluloid I will never read the book again and probably toss it into the fire at my next book burning club. 1/5

73. Dan In Real Life

73. Dan In Real Life (2007) - 04/26/09 - Starz:
Originally I passed on this movie because it features that talentless hack known to mortals as Dane Cook. There aren't too many rules I try to live my life by but the SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT RULE OF THEM ALL IS TO AVOID DANE COOK AT ANY COST! I hate to break it to you people, but he's not funny. Not even some sort of mutated, half assed version of funny. The guy is a joke stealer and only appeals to college aged sorority girls and maybe some douchebag meatheads. On that note this movie wasn't all that terrible when Dane wasn't on the screen. Still...he's on film for more than 5 minutes and that is simply too much for any normal person to endure. Watch at your own risk. 2/5

72. Monsters vs Aliens

72. Monsters vs Aliens IMAX 3D (2009) - 04/26/09 - Theater:
Since it's been a few weeks and I haven't updated this thing....I've already forgotten what happens in this sorry excuse for a Dreamworks Animation movie. The 3D was cool and IMAX didn't hurt. If you are expecting Shrek or Ice Age or anything along those lines you won't find it here. 2/5

71. You Don't Mess With The Zohan

71. You Don't Mess With The Zohan (2008) - 04/25/09 - Starz:
Not Adam Sandler's best comedy but by no means is it his worse. Some really fun cameos ( Dave Matthews as a racist terrorist). 2.5/5

70. The Spirit

70. The Spirit (2008) - 04/22/09 - Blu-Ray:

Not even Eva Mendes' amazing ass could of saved this awful piece of shit. Do yourself a favor and just pass on this one. Hopefully frank Miller will redeem himself with Sin City 2. 1/5

69. Milk

69. Milk (2008) - 04/21/09 - Blu-Ray:

Sean Penn is a great actor and this movie proves it. 4/5
